u4gm What to Farm After Todays Fallout 76 Update Today
#1
If you've played Fallout 76 for more than a weekend, you've had that moment: your chest piece breaks, your ammo bin's empty, and you're staring at a workbench like it personally betrayed you. The new update only makes that sting more, because you want to be out doing the fresh stuff, not rummaging through drawers for screws. If you're also the type who likes swapping builds and trying different guns, it can help to have options lined up, even browsing fallout 76 weapons for sale while you plan your next run so you're not stuck using whatever trash dropped last. The trick is keeping your route tight and your pockets useful, not just full.
West Tek Without Wasting Time
West Tek is still the workhorse, but people mess it up by rushing the wrong parts. Clear the outside fast, then go straight into the main rooms and keep moving. Don't overthink it. Every Super Mutant weapon is basically steel waiting to happen, and Scrapper is non-negotiable if you want the haul to feel good. Scrap on-site if you can, dump the rest, and bounce. If the place feels picked clean, server hop and repeat. It's boring in a way, sure, but it's steady XP plus a stash that stops feeling fragile.
Whitespring Runs For The Annoying Bits
When you're short on the fiddly materials, head to Whitespring and do a proper sweep. The golf club and the nearby buildings are packed with the kind of junk you actually care about: desk fans, typewriters, phones, toys, all that. I don't even pretend it's glamorous, I just put on a podcast and loot with purpose. Keep an eye out for public events nearby, too. If Uranium Fever pops, go. Tag everything, loot everything, and waddle to the vendor bots to cash out before your carry weight turns into a problem.
Lead And Acid: The Ammo Maker's Loop
If you craft ammo, Lucky Hole Mine is still the lead bank, but only if you show up prepared. Excavator Power Armor makes the trip worth it, because the extra ore adds up fast. Grab every node, then get out and deal with the other half of the equation: acid. I usually swing by places with snallygasters or other reliable sources so I'm not sitting on a pile of ore I can't smelt. Once you've done that loop a few times, you'll stop rationing bullets like it's day one.
Event Farming And Keeping Your Build Moving
For legendaries and high-value drops, the Cranberry Bog events are where you earn your keep. Scorched Earth, Line in the Sand, anything that pulls a crowd. Don't try to be the hero unless that's your thing; just tag enemies, stay alive, and let the event do the heavy lifting. You'll save ammo and still get paid. And if you're the kind of player who'd rather spend time fighting than shopping, it's worth knowing there are places that handle the grindier side of gearing up, like u4gm, so you can keep your focus on rolls, builds, and actually playing the game.
